Ms. Jen

Director of LifeSpan School and Daycare East Greenville

Ms. Jen joined LifeSpan in 1995. She is the Director of LifeSpan School and Day Care in East Greenville. She graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a BS in Childcare Business Management, AA in Early Childcare Education and has obtained her Pennsylvania Director’s Credential. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Childcare Association, as well as the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She started with LifeSpan 25 years ago as a teacher’s assistant. In 2003, she began her Directing career at LifeSpan in Quakertown. In 2009, she was given the opportunity to transfer to our Pennsburg location to continue the growth of the center in anticipation of our new East Greenville location. In January of 2011, we opened the East Greenville location and have continued our growth! As a Director and Educator, she is committed to assuring each child’s safety, education, social and emotional well being. She looks forward to having you tour our beautiful, state of the art green school!

 

 

Ms. Kiera

Assistant Director/Pre-K 2 Teacher
Joined LifeSpan 2012

Miss Kiera joined the LifeSpan team in August of 2012.  She graduated from Kutztown in May of 2012 with her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a concentration in Psychology. Her time at LifeSpan has brought Kiera experience in all of the age groups, especially in the School Age group. In 2018 she moved to working part-time at LifeSpan as she pursued a position at the Arts Academy Elementary Charter School teaching 5th Grade for 1 year and Kindergarten for the last 4 years. She is now back full-time at LifeSpan as the Assistant Director and will be teaching Pre-Kindergarten 2 this fall. She is married to her husband Steve and they have 2 beautiful children, a daughter Jourdyn and a son Luke, both who also attend LifeSpan.

 

 

 

Ms. Mayra

Family Care Coordinator
Joined LifeSpan in 2008

Ms. Mayra joined LifeSpan in 2008 and is the Family Coordinator. She began as the Family Care Coordinator at Quakertown LifeSpan and is now at East Greenville. She was a Family Coordinator at Goddard Riverside in New York City for 12 years at a Head Start and Day Care. Mayra got her CDA in November 2003. Mayra also achieved her Family Development Credential from Cornell. Mayra is a welcoming, friendly face every morning!

 

 

Mr. Hunter

Music, Spanish and sign language instructor

My name is Hunter and I am the Music, Spanish and Sign Language instructor at all of our LifeSpan Child Care facilities. I attended Lebanon Valley College with a BS in Music Education and Vocal Performance. I have been working in child care since 2009.

 

 

 

 

Ms. Carol B.

Currently in our Walker 2
Joined LifeSpan in 2010

Ms. Carol B. joined LifeSpan in 2010 and is currently teaching in the Toddler Classroom. She has over 9 years of experience in the daycare field. She received her CDA certificate in November 2011. She enjoys watching the children grow and develop into their own little person. Their personalities are all different and that is what makes each child unique. Her favorite thing to do as a young child was to bake with her grand-mom. Now she bakes the same recipes that she did as a young child with her own two children.

Ms. Wendy

Currently Teaches in Kindergarten Prep 1
Joined LifeSpan in 2005

Ms. Wendy joined LifeSpan in 2005 and is teaching in the Pre-k 1 Classroom. Ms. Wendy earned her CDA in 2011. She always shares her patient, loving and caring heart with her class. As a child, Ms. Wendy enjoyed spending time outdoors, going camping and going to the beach with her family. Now she continues the same traditions with her family.

Ms. Marion

Joined LifeSpan in 2000

Ms. Marion joined LifeSpan in 2000 and is teaching in the Walker 2 Classroom. She has her AA in Early Education from Montgomery County Community College. She loves nature and bringing it into the classroom. She enjoys watching the children’s expressions when they have new experiences. She remembers as a child, walking around and exploring for hours outside on her family’s small farm. Her parents always took her on nature walks and to this day, she still enjoys nature walks. She is very passionate about the calmness of nature and bringing it to the classroom.

 

 

 

 

Ms. Kim

Currently Teaches in Infant, Preschool Prep
Joined LifeSpan in 2011

Ms. Kim joined LifeSpan in 2011. Ms. Kim is a teacher in the Nursery. She has lived in Quakertown for 10 years. She is married to her husband John and they have 2 lovely girls – Madison, 10 and Abbey, 6. She graduated from BCCC with an AA degree in Early Childhood Education and from West Chester University with a BA in Elementary Education. Ms. Kim taught 5th and 6th grade until her second child, when she decided to be a stay at home mom. If she is not taking care of her family, she likes to read, play softball and go to the beach. Ms. Kim also volunteers for the non-profit organization Pride of Quakertown that is dedicated to helping the kids in the Quakertown area.

 

 

 

Ms. Marissa

Currently Teaches in Infant 3
Joined LifeSpan in 2013

Ms. Marissa works with the preschool class. She graduated from Quakertown High School in 2011. She plans on continuing her education in early childhood development. In her free time she enjoys reading, baking, and listening to music. It gives her great joy to be a part of the LifeSpan team.

Ms. Shelly

Currently Teaches in Kindergarten Prep 1
Joined LifeSpan in 2014

She is a graduate of the University of Maine in Machias. She has a Bachelor degree of Science in Elementary Education, majoring in math and science. She was a Reading Recovery teacher, 8^th grade math, algebra and geometry for 10 years in Maine. She loves teaching and she loves kids. When she is not teaching, she loves to kayak, fish, read, cook, shop, go camping and spend time with her family

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Amber

Currently Teaches in Infant 2
Joined LifeSpan in 2016

Ms. Amber teaches in the Nursery. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Arcadia University. She’s worked with children in some form since she was 11 years old. She loves seeing their breakthroughs and achievements. She co-runs a program called TOPSoccer where she works with children with special needs. She teaches them the basics of soccer and works on their interpersonal skills. She loves to spend her free time painting, drawing, or reading.

 

 

 

 

Ms. Devon

Joined LifeSpan in 2019

Ms. Devon Guthrie attended DeSales University for elementary education, where she received her degree. After she graduated, she worked in Upper Perk as a long term sub in the 4^th and 5^th grade center. She currently floats around to all the rooms so she can get good experience with every age group. Ms. Devon lives with her husband and 2 daughters. She really enjoys being around children and am very excited for the opportunities LifeSpan has in store for her

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Jeff

Joined LifeSpan in 2020

Jeff was born and raised in Berwin, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Red Hill. Jeff received his Associates Degree in Chemistry from Penn State University. For a couple of years Jeff work as a Quality Control Associate for MERCK. Jeff later worked for thirty years as a Research Technician at Roman Hass. For ten years Jeff was an Avery Dennison team member from where he retired. Jeff is excited to work alongside our school age students here at LifeSpan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Sofia

Currently Teaches in Walker 1
Joined LifeSpan in 2019

Ms. Sofia teaches in the Toddler classroom.  She graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 2019.  While in high school she attended the tech center for Early Childhood Education for two years.  Since she was little, Ms. Sofia wanted to work with kids from birth to 10 years old.  She plans on furthering her education in Early Childhood Education.  She cannot wait to see the kids learn and grow. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Taylor

My name is Taylor Leidy and I started working for LifeSpan in 2019. I graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 2018, and I am currently a senior at Penn State University studying Early Childhood and Elementary Education, with a minor in Special Education. I love spending my summers when I am not at school here with my LifeSpan family!

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Eric

Currently Teaches in Kindergarten Prep 2
Joined LifeSpan in 2018

Eric Schrader is a native of Quakertown, Pennsylvania. While in Pennsylvania, Eric attended and graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education. While at WCU, Eric marched with Field of View Independent World Class Color Guard (1996-1998). During the summer, Eric marched with Cadets of Bergen County Drum and Bugle Corps (1996-1999). After graduating from undergraduate studies, Eric relocated to Boston, Massachusetts. Living in Boston, Eric pursued a career in teaching with the Boston Public Schools. Eric completed his graduate studies with Walden University, graduating with a degree in Masters of Science in Elementary Education, Reading and Literacy. While living in Boston, Eric marched in St. Ann’s Independent World Class Color Guard (1999-2002) and Blessed Sacrament Independent World Class Color Guard (2004 and 2014). Eric also was an instructor for St. Ann’s Independent Open Class Color guard. As well, Eric was an instructor with Blessed Sacrament’s Independent World Class Color Guard (2006-2015). During the summer months Eric was an instructor at Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps (2000 and 2002). As well, Eric was an instructor at 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps (2012), later becoming Color Guard Caption Head (2013-2015). Eric relocated to Pennsylvania in the winter of 2016. In 2017, Eric joined the Field of View Color Guard and North Penn Marching Knights/Visual Ensemble staff and continues to teach to this day. Eric became an Enrichment/PreK-3 Teacher at LifeSpan School and Daycare in April 2018.

 

Ms. Taylour

Joined LifeSpan in 2020

Ms. Taylour started at LifeSpan in 2020. She currently works at Upper Perkiomen High School and spends her afternoons with the kids here at Lifespan. Before she started her position at Lifespan, she would drop off my son for daycare and she was able to see how loving and caring everyone here was to my son and all other children. She knew she wanted to be a part of Lifespan community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Lisa

Currently Teaches in Toddler 2
Joined LifeSpan in 1992

Ms. Lisa has been a preschool/toddler teacher at Lifespan since 2010. I graduated from West Chester University with a BS in Health and Physical Education. After graduation, she substituted for a few years before coming to work for Lifespan in 1992. She left Lifespan in 2007 to pursue other employment options. I returned in 2010 because I missed teaching and caring for the children. In her spare time, she enjoys relaxing with my family and friends, listening to music and watching sporting events. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Sandy

Currently Teaches Pre-Kindergarten
Joined LifeSpan in 2022

Miss Sandy joined LifeSpan in April 2022.  She has lived in the Upper Perkiomen Valley her entire life with her husband and 4 children. She came to LifeSpan with 35 wonderful years of Child Care experience. For the last five years she have been a PreK teacher and previous to that she was the School Age Coordinator for a Before/After school program and summer camp.  Her hobbies include going to the beach, outdoor activities, baking and being creative in many ways.  She looks forward to the start of the school year in PreK2 and getting to know many more wonderful families at LifeSpan

 

 

 

 

Ms. Diane

Currently Teaches in Infants
Joined LifeSpan in 2022

Miss Diane joined LifeSpan in February of 2022. She graduated from Geisinger Medical Center School of Nursing. She retired after 40+ years and started working part-time in child care. She has worked in child care for 10 years. She is presently working in the nursery and loves the infants. She works with a wonderful staff and enjoys working with them. Her husband, Jeff also works at LifeSpan and it is like working with family. She has 2 children and 4 grandchildren and enjoys spending time with them. She is a Health Advocate at her church. She has been a Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher and a volunteer at her children’s and grandchildren’s schools. She enjoys working with children.

 

 

 

 

Ms. Gabby

Miss Gabby joined the LifeSpan team in May of 2021. She graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 2016, and later obtained her CDA Certificate. She plans to further her education in Special Ed and Early Childhood courses. She enjoys spending time with her son and outdoors.

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Amanda

Currently Teaches in Walker 1
Joined LifeSpan in 2022

Ms. Amanda has worked in child care for 10 years and she is a mom to an 11 month old baby boy, who also attends LifeSpan. She received her CDA in 2014 from Manor College. Amanda plans to go back to school to study early childhood education in the near future. She is excited for the years to come at LifeSpan and all the memories that will be made.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Gianna

Currently Teaches in Preschool Prep
Joined LifeSpan in 2023

Miss Gianna joined the LifeSpan team in March 2023. She is currently going to school at Kean University for Psychology and Speech Pathology. She has prior experience working with typical and atypical children from her time in New York. In 2022 she moved from New York to Pennsylvania. In her free time she enjoys writing, fishing and photography. She is an animal lover and has a bird named Kia and a dog named Riley. She is married to her husband Carter. She looks forward to working and getting to know all LifeSpan families. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Selvi

Joined LifeSpan in 2020

Ms. Selvi Sucipto has been with LifeSpan since 2020. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from UPN “Veteran” University. However, she obtained her Child Development Associate Credentials in June of 2015 because she found out that she enjoyed teaching children more than chemistry. She loves teaching the little ones new things and she is very thankful that she is given the valuable opportunity to teach different skills with your child. In addition, she can speak her native language fluently as well as English, Chinese, and German. In 2019, she graduated and received her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Montgomery County Community College. She is excited to be teaching in our Pre-Kindergarten 1 program and am looking forward to getting to know you and your child.

 

 

 

Ms. Gracie

Miss Gracie joined Lifespan in 2023 along with graduating highschool 2023. She has had prior experience working with children and found it to be something she loved. She is planning on furthering her education in early childhood education. In her free time she loves to be active and spend time with family. Miss Gracie enjoys meeting new families that attend lifespan childcare.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Perla

Joined LifeSpan in 2023

Miss Perla joined LifeSpan in summer of 2023 and graduated from Montgomery County Community College with an associate degree in early childhood education. Currently, she is majoring in Exercise Science with concentration on Pre-occupational therapy at West Chester University. She is from Mexico and speaks English and Spanish. She loves singing, playing ukulele, and going for a walk with her friends. She loves children and has been a teacher since 2021.Finally, she is excited to work alongside with the families here at LifeSpan Daycare.

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Haley

Joined LifeSpan in 2023

Miss. Haley joined LifeSpan in the Fall of 2023.  She has been working in childcare since 2022. She is also currently working towards getting her Child Development Associate along with attending DeSales University. Ms. Anniko

Ms. Annika was born and raised in Estonia.  She finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development in 2018. After finishing her degree, she moved to the U.S. as an Au Pair.  She have been working with children ever since.  She is grateful to have a career working with young minds and is fulfilled by helping them become kind, courteous and motivated individuals.  In her free time she enjoys baking, hiking, and spending time with family.  She is delighted to be a part of the LifeSpan team.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Zach

Joined LifeSpan in 2024

Mr. Zach is so excited to be a part of the LifeSpan East Greenville staff! He started with LifeSpan in 2024. He graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 2019 and lives in Green Lane, Pa. Currently, he is attending Kutztown University to complete his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education PreK – 4 with a discipline in Psychology. In addition, he attended Montgomery County Community College in which he graduated with an associates degree in Middle Year Education. In his free time, he loves to craft and create things with his Cricut and 3D printer! He loves going to the beach in the summer and practicing yoga. A little fun fact about his is that one of his hobbies is that he is a professional dancer during Dorney Park’s Halloween Haunt!

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Kiersten

Miss Kiersten started working with Life Span in August 2024. She has worked in childcare for five years and is working towards her associates at Bucks Community College in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys working with children and seeing them develop new skills. She has seven siblings and has been helping them through the years. She is excited to meet everyone and getting to know the students and families.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Amanda G.

Ms. Amanda is an assistant teacher in the Infant classrooms. She graduated from Kutztown with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a minor in psychology. She lives right here in Pennsburg with her husband and 3 children. When she is not taking care of the babies, she loves spending time with her family, watching movies, reading, and being outdoors. Ms. Sara

Joined LifeSpan in 2024

Ms. Sara originally started working at LifeSpan in 2013 when her oldest son, Kolin was born. She then left and returned again when her second son, James was born in 2017. She is now back again as of 2024 because she clearly loves working here and working with the babies. She loves connecting with families on a nurturing level and helping their babies grow. She went to Penn State University to major in Elementary Education and minor in psychology. She ultimately took a break from that to pursue and obtain her cosmetology license but does plan to go back to school to finish her degree. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her husband and her boys. They enjoy exploring new parks, being outside, taking family bike rides, going on random day trips, going to the beach, and kicking a soccer ball around. She is excited to be back at LifeSpan and working with all the new babies that come into our care!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Mary

Currently Teaches in Walker 2
Joined LifeSpan in 2022

Ms. Mary used to work at LifeSpan for 6 years before leaving to pursue a career in the medical field. She re-joined LifeSpan in 2022 in the Infant room and has since moved to the Walker 2 classroom. She finds it very rewarding to teach children new things and watch them reach new milestones. She loves children and feels fortunate to be spending her days with them. She enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and going to the beach in her free time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ms. Wendy W

Joined LifeSpan in 2016

Ms. Wendy joined LifeSpan in 2016 and helps out in all of our classrooms. Ms. Wendy loves animals and fosters dogs as well as has a few dogs of her own. Ms. Wendy loves to spend time with her grandchildren and with her pups. She is excited to be apart of our LifeSpan family and looks forward to watching your children grow!
